A cat scratched me. Could I have rabies?

I'm so scared and am crying. Today I tried picking a kitten up and it struggled in my arms. It scratched my hands. The cuts weren't deep though. It didn't bite me. A few minutes later, I threw up outside of my friend's yard. I told her while we were going down to my house. She said, "What if you have rabies." Could this be true, could I have rabies. About 5 minutes after getting scratched I washed my hands and put bactine (a type of ointment on) Help me Please. The kitten wasn't bloody so I don't think it got bit. But I was reading online that kittens are highly acceptable to a rabies disease. Help.
