I just got my nose pierced, help me out?

My nose is sore and swollen a little bit and I was wondering if those things were normal. I got it pierced last night. But yeah, if it is normal, how long until it isn't sore anymore? I know everyone is different so it could be longer or shorter for me, but in general how long does it usually take? Also, are there any ointments I could use to make it heal a little bit faster? If not that's cool, I'm not in any hurry, just curious.
