My buddy plays collide wrong?

Whenever girls come over to our apartment and make my buddy play a song for them on the guitar he plays collide by Howie day. When he gets to the chorus he gets behind on the lyrics about two measures and it sounds way goofy. I don't see how he doesn't realize because the rest of the chorus is just off. Should I tell him or just leave it be?
