Pimple-like bumps on vulva?

I have 3 small red bumps (similar to pimples) on the outside of my vagina and I've never had them before. I shaved that area about a month ago so it may be due to that, but other than that I can't think of any other reasons for them suddenly popping up. I have never had sex before so I doubt it's an STD. Should I put any type of ointment on them?
