Just got a new tattoo yesterday. I have some questions.?

I got my second tattoo yesterday. When I wash it and put ointment on it, like I'm supposed to, I can feel the tattoo but this should be normal right now during the healing process, right? I don't really remember too well how it was with my first one. It's supposed to peal and the parts I feel, falls off [peels off] and then the tattoo is flat, right? When I was putting on the ointment today, I noticed some parts I can feel more than others, like the other part just seems flat. I'm really worried this means my tattoo is going to scar up/be raised, once it's all done peeling and healing. Help please. I use A&D ointment. Please and thank you for your time.
