My belly button piercing got infected I dont know what it is? It is not a keloid because it is not visible or?

Bubbly on surface it totally appears fine. But when you look at bottom of piercing under my skin there is a round infection that goes up to the middle of the bar. It is very sensitive and I do not know how much longer I can deal with it. I am very athletic so when I am doing my crunches or bending over to stretch it is painful. I don't want to keep irritating it. It was fine the first 2 months but recently since I have been going to lakes and pools I think it got infected. I recently have been cleaning it with sea salt and warm water, dial soap a couple times a week. If there is pus, hydrogen peroxide, and alcohol, and since it has been hurting super bad and been infected I but antibiotic ointment on it. I am going to doctor to get medicine but I have a feeling since it's a doctor she's just gonna tell me to take it out. I really don't want it out.. Ahhh help!!! Any solutions to this.. And please don't say o it's normal leave as is, because at this point it is too irritating and painful for words like that...
