Allergic reaction to ointment for new tattoo.?

okay so i got a tattoo about a week ago and i was using bacitracin on it, and for the first two days it was fine but than after day 5 i noticed little tiny bumps on the tattoo, my dad said it was an allergic reaction so i stopped using the ointment, they itch really bad but im not itching it, any idea on what i can do to help the reaction to go away and not have to worry about the tattoo?
