Tattoo scabbing after only less than a week?

I got a big piece done 6 days ago and i used A&D ointment as my artist said and moved to loation. This morning i woke up and noticed half of the tattoo is scabbed up and the other side isnt. So my question is: Is this going to effect the outcome of the healing process and make it light? Or am i just thinking the worst of things. Ive taken care of it just as my artist had said
