I just got my nose pierced, help me out?

My nose is sore and swollen a little bit and I was wondering if those things were normal. I got it pierced last night. But yeah, if it is normal, how long until it isn't sore anymore? I know everyone is different so it could be longer or shorter for me, but in general how long does it usually take? Also, are there any ointments I could use to make it heal a little bit faster? If not that's cool, I'm not in any hurry, just curious.

Bug bites! Turn blood red and have a white dot in the middle like a pimple is this normal?

These bug bites did look strange at first, so I covered them with band-aids so I wouldn't scratch, I didn't put any ointment just a band-aids. I took them off and now its super red and their is a yellow/white dot in the middle like a pimple, or bulls eye/target. Is this normal? They itch! I just cleaned my whole room spotless, vacuumed and everything. And I just got back from vacation too.

SO I just got my first tattoo yesterday. I fainted a little while after he started and then was fine during the rest of the tat. I did eat before I got it done, but he said it was normal to faint in the process of getting it done. Today, the morning after, as I was showering I started to feel lightheaded again after I washed it a little. So I sat down and continued my shower. After I got out though, I fainted again. Then as I was rubbing the A&D ointment on I had to sit down ONCE AGAIN because I was feeling dizzy. Is it "normal" for this to happen or should I be concerned?

On June 4, 2011 I went to the open casting call for the movie Funsize in Cleveland. Since then I have not been contacted by the casting directors. I figured, since it's only been about three weeks, they hadn't decided on extras yet, except that filming (IN MY CITY!! :0) has already seemed to have start, like a street is closed off and Victoria Justice, the star of the movie, is in my city signing autographs. So does this mean I haven't been chosen as an extra? About half of the people who came to the casting call were to be selected, so 1,500 people. Would they notify you whether or not you made it, or only if you were to be in the movie? Phone, address, and email were given; which would they use to contact an extra? Thank you so much.

How do I save abandoned bunnies?

I am trying to save half a litter of abandoned bunnies. I think their mother abandoned them because my children and husband had been using the rabbit hole as a commode while out in the back yard. The problem is that you keep touching it. It's REALLY hard not to touch it, but the best thing you can do is wash it frequently and do NOT touch it. avoid lotions and oils. Just rub a moist towel with some soap and gently wash the area. Do this before you go to bed, when you wake up, and once during the day. It'll go away in 3-7 days usually.

Dry skin around nose piercing?

Those hand soaps can greatly dry out your skin and irritate it. I would think as long as you use a gentle moisturizer and rub it on the surrounding area of irritation, it would be fine and it would get rid of your dry skin. Just be sure not to actually let it touch the piercing. Good luck!

I had one cold sore on my upper lip and it dried up today. (Cold sores started about 2 days ago?) So I started peeling the skin around the lips because it was dry, dead skin and I accidentally peeled off the skin where the cold sore was. It burns to the touch and it's open, exposing a small area of flesh. I washed the area and applied this antibiotic ointment on it. My question is, how long will this take to completely heal? A cat scratched me. Could I have rabies?

Sustained spells continuously use mana for as long as they are active. To counter this you need to equip your mage with an item or items that have mana regeneration for exaample the guy selling stuff in the tower of magi sells an awesome belt that has something like +4 mana regeneration during combat (sorry don't remember the name of it but its the one that costs like 100 sovereigns). He also has an awesome staff that has mana regeneration (also around 100 sovereigns) and at the mage shop in Denerim there are some tevinter robes that have mana regeneration and some hats too. So just equip your mage with as many of these mana regeration items as you want and that should help keep your mana up while still using these sustained spells.

Okay, i think you got some crazy high standards, first off. It's been 2 weeks, I have Pujols but you don't see me freaking out. Having said that, Crawford should be just fine. You're rotation is fine, jsut had a rough start. Sbathia will be fine, Price should pitch fine but with his diminished offense he will have less wins. I have 1 tattoo on my left wrist that I got in March. I had no problems with it. In December, I slipped on the ice while running to the bus stop, and tore open my knee pretty bad. I just put band-aids on it and neosporin, and cleaned it out a lot to take care of it. I have 3 small red bumps (similar to pimples) on the outside of my vagina and I've never had them before. Broke my Fibula, how long till i can walk by myself?

I'm 17 and 2 weeks ago I broke my Fibula only about 1 in from the ankle, and 3 days after the break i had surgery to keep it stable, i have a plate and 8 screws in it. I have no pain or swelling at this point, and it doesn't even hurt when i put my weight on it, just a minor annoyance. I went to the doc today and he said it was looking great and he could hardly see the break anymore. I got my staples removed and a new cast. Now I know for sure I will have this cast another 4 weeks, but I never got a clear answer on whether or not i will need a walking boot after. In your opinion, if he said it is healing great and looks fantastic and can hardly see a break, and he also said the reason i do need this cast is just to make sure the plate doesn't warp, will i need to be in any more casts or boots after this or will I have a virgin leg again? I know I will need to ask my ortho for sure but what is your opinion?

A&D ointment for a scar?

I popped a pimple the other day and knew that it was going to scar, which i was trying to avoid. I had some A&D ointment left over from a recent tattoo and applied it to the popped pimple. Amazingly, it healed the very next day. If i keep applying the A&D ointment do you think it will fade the small scar that will develop? By the look of it, this pimple is healing the best out of any I've ever popped but there is discoloration in the area. Any thoughts?

Big toenail won't grow? Ingrown nail?

I've had a milder case of this problem before. All that an ingrown nail is is when the nail begins to curl under itself, going back into the skin. What I've done is carefully pull it out, and just clip it off. It may hurt, and it may bleed a bit, but if you just hold a clean cloth or paper towel on it, you should be fine. Depending on how far it's gone, you may want to work in intervals; pulling a little bit, cleaning, waiting, repeat. Just don't clip too far, or clip before you pull it out. Straightner burn on my forhead!?!?!?

I burnt my forehead using my straightener yesterday in the afternoon. Right of the top of my head I am thinking they would give poor Howie pain medication so he can be more active and start to re build his muscle system. He should be on Oxbow Vitamin C tabs that most Exotic vets carry or you can get in most pet stores plus he will need a very strong diet, I would recommend a diet but I could be off so I think a vet should be the one that recommends the proper diet in this case. But yes I do think he will make a full recovery as long as he does not have any joint damage, if that be the case diet and pain meds will allow him to live a normal and comfortable life.

Just be sure to use some good unscented lotion like jurgens atleast once a day until its completly healed and you will be just fine.

Chris Narveson has had himself a nice start to the season. However, will he continue his dominance? He will drop back to number 5 starter once Grienke comes back. I like the offense he can get in Milwaukee but I doubt his ability to be this dominant consistently. My other choice is the young Pirate Jose Tabata. This kid is scorching right now with his bat, even managing to belt a couple homers. Pretty good for a 10 HR a year guy. He has also snagged himself 5 bases so far. My only issue is the Pittsburgh Pirates. They seem like a scrappy young team and with Tabata leading off he should score a ton of runs and steal a bunch of bases. I have Rajai Davis currently but he has twisted his ankle twice and is too much of an injury risk right now. I don't really need Narveson but it would strentghen my roation even more. Ok, so earlier in the week I woke up one noting and relized my tailbone kinda hurt. Didn't think anything of it till the otherday it was still sore when hangingout with friends and kinda bothered me when I sat and eventually seen that it turned into a growth. Got on Google and looked up it up and came up with a Pilonidal Cyst. But mine doesn't really look like the ones in the pick and so I read on and decided to pop it at the white head and when I popped it the skin got red and irritated. Mine is just kinda like a big sore swollen pimple above my butt. I read on but could not find anything on treatment to heal it myself. To save money, I'm pretty tight on that right now. When it was popped it smelled ungodly bad. But now after day two prior to popping it, it doesn't smell and the puss is a light snot color and not dark greenish anymore and doesn't smell. Also doesn't ooze nearly as much or easy. Really only oozes if you force it too with pressure. What is there to do about the swelling? Any suggestions? I was told if I put anti-biotic ointment on it, that should help. Is that ok?

My dog has a rash on his underbelly/groin area, what can I do to make it go away?

I have a 7 month old bull terrier. Just this evening I noticed a slight rash that covers most of his underbelly. His tummy isn't all red, just little red bumps scattered on his skin around his genitals and thighs. I've read some articles and have gotten multiple theories. He has this stuffed sheep that he "loves" and I washed it yesterday with the hose and used his shampoo. I know I didn't get all the soap out. He got it back today but when he gets his baths he isn't affected by his soap. We've also changed his food this week. It went from Blue Buffalo to Kibbles n Bits. The only thing that has changed so far is his bowel movements but I understand that is normal when changing foods. I am really stumped as to what my plan of action should be. Okay so my horse has bucked me off four times. He's only six, and my trainer has been working with him. He recently bucked me off and I broke my wrist. Just got a new tattoo yesterday. I have some questions.?

I got my second tattoo yesterday. When I wash it and put ointment on it, like I'm supposed to, I can feel the tattoo but this should be normal right now during the healing process, right? I don't really remember too well how it was with my first one. It's supposed to peal and the parts I feel, falls off [peels off] and then the tattoo is flat, right? When I was putting on the ointment today, I noticed some parts I can feel more than others, like the other part just seems flat. I'm really worried this means my tattoo is going to scar up/be raised, once it's all done peeling and healing. Help please. I use A&D ointment. Please and thank you for your time.

What kind of bug bite is this on my toddler's leg?

my 2 1/2 year old had what started out like a mosquitoe bite i guess. couple nights ago she woke up middle of the night whinning about her "booboo". but she was scratching it so i figured it was just a mosquito bite because she was outside the night before and, it felt like one. so i just rubbed the bump a little she went back to sleep. later that morning she said it was still itching so i put some witch hazel on it. that was the first time i had ever used witch hazel on her. couple hours later when she was playing i notice that it had turned into a blister. she said it hurt when it touched it. and i was wondering if maybe it was some other bug that bit her and was not a mosquito bite or maybe it was the witch hazel i put on it. when i checked it out again later that day it had popped. so i applyed some antibiotic ointment and a bandaid. so i have some pictures of what it looked like before and after the bilster popped. i have picture with the flash on and off. and i didnt crop so i hope they're clear enough to see. has anyone seen anything like this before and know what it might be? here is the link to the album http://s746.photobucket.com/albums/xx104/NicoleKi78/Nivie%20blister%20bite%20on%20leg/

Be aware that it can take several days for an antihistamine to be effective so give each perhaps a week before switching to the next. Finally they make some pretty good anti-itch products. Mosquito bite swollen and painful?

My boyfriend was bitten last night by a mosquito. He is very susceptible to them, I've never seen someone get bit more often than him. Today he woke up and one of the bites is massive. It is bigger than a itched and aggravated mosquito bite usually is. It is extremely large, forming an obvious lump on his arm. It is red and irritating to him. He said his arms feels "heavy". We have put every anti-itch ointment we have on him and nothing is working. I know Benadryl is suggested but he seems immune to it. What can I do to relieve the pain for him?

If your asking if I think the movie should be made, NO!. But this will be much more interesting since FMA is more westerly. I'm pretty sure hollywood is good at medieval age european movies. What can i do for my mrsa?

Ok so i was just diagnosed with mrsa staph infection, They put me on a VERY strong antibiotic, and a ointment that go's in the nose, they also told me to take a hot bath with a 1/2 cup of bleach and soak in it for 30 mins, i am hoping that there is a less drying method to replace the bleach, also if there is anything i can do to to help the reduce the scaring. He's had great casts throughout his career. He had Shaq and with Gasol he had many good players around him. Sure the Heat have 2 superstars, but Kobe with Gasol and the rest of the Lakers were a deep team. Shaq carried Kobe to his first 3 rings and then Gasol did. My belly button piercing got infected I dont know what it is? It is not a keloid because it is not visible or?

Bubbly on surface it totally appears fine. But when you look at bottom of piercing under my skin there is a round infection that goes up to the middle of the bar. It is very sensitive and I do not know how much longer I can deal with it. I am very athletic so when I am doing my crunches or bending over to stretch it is painful. I don't want to keep irritating it. It was fine the first 2 months but recently since I have been going to lakes and pools I think it got infected. I recently have been cleaning it with sea salt and warm water, dial soap a couple times a week. If there is pus, hydrogen peroxide, and alcohol, and since it has been hurting super bad and been infected I but antibiotic ointment on it. I am going to doctor to get medicine but I have a feeling since it's a doctor she's just gonna tell me to take it out. I really don't want it out.. Ahhh help!!! Any solutions to this.. And please don't say o it's normal leave as is, because at this point it is too irritating and painful for words like that...

Help! Worried sick about my baby?

My daughter is 9 and a half months old and has always had extremely sensitive skin. Terrible eczema, cradle cap and random rashes. After using California Baby calendula cream her eczema is under control, however for through longest time her nipples have been a persistently effected area. As soon as she her nipples are exposed she starts itching and grabbing them instantly. (I even have to cover them with a wash cloth whenever I bathe her) They are always either peeling, bleeding, or has pus/liquid oozing from them. The pediatrician has prescribed hydrocortizone and an anti-fungal cream and neither have made a difference. He now prescribed an ointment to treat staph infections and MRSA. I am terrified at the possibility of MRSA. She is never in a daycare or hospital, and I stay at home with her. I don't know how she could have caught MRSA if that's what it is. I am supposed to call back in 10 days after using the cream if there is no improvement to be referred to a dermatologist. Does anyone have experience in this situation? I can't stop thinking about it and I'm so worried. Any input would be appreciated. Sorry its so long and if there are errors, I'm on my cellphone.

Some Brewer fan who should know this team goes up or down like a roller coaster team facing the Yankees with a pitching gap in strength due to Marcum not at a 100% and Sabathia in mostly tough form. Both these players couldn't win crap w/o great supporting casts, so they just become ballhogs and pad their stats. Pierce had 2 other all stars on his team for 4 years and only won 1 title. Just a quick question regarding carp bait.?

Hi, I live near Lake Michigan and as a lot of you probably already know the carp in there are large and plentiful and given a certain amount of patience they are willing biters. I just have one problem. I've been using a commercial bait called "Uncle Josh Carp Bait" There's no doubt it's a good bait because it's bright colored, releases scent into the water nicely and it's easy to form into a dough-ball but the particular container of bait I bought was pretty soft and it's very hard to get it to stay on the hook. On the back of the tub it says that if the bait is too soft to mix it with fine dirt. I might try that as a last resort but in the mean time I'm searching for alternate methods. Does anybody know how to make an affective homemade carp bait that's nice and firm? You know, soft enough to be appealing to the fish but firm enough that it will stay on the hook with ease and withstand intense casting? Not that this is too huge a problem but I'm also looking for a bait that's appealing to carp but also something that those annoying nibbling sunfish will ignore and not destroy. Is there also a way that I could maybe keep the bait I already have on the hook easier? Maybe I should use regular bread dough, it seems pretty strong, would it work? Are carp attracted to large night crawlers? I know they work for catfish and they are almost guaranteed to stay on the hook but the sunfish and gobies would probably tear them up before the carp ever got to them. Well anyway thanks, I'm hoping to head out to the marina in again today so if there's a bait I could prepare in just a few hours that would be nice. Cure for red skin rash and accompanying hair loss following surgery on Weimaraner.?

My two year old female Weimaraner had a double surgery at the beginning of March for spaying following accidental mating and for removal of a benign tumour on her flank. The cut for spaying healed well but the cut on her flank was followed by a red rash, heavy flaking with partchy loss of hair in the surrounding area. Three months later the problem not only continues but has spread and the affeced area is oval shaped, about 10 inches in length and 5 inches in width. She has been treated with Enrocin, Wysolone and now withThyroxin following a blood test which showed hypothyroidism. Anitibiotic, antifungal and cortisone based ointments have been regularly applied. The dog is least bothered about the rash and it causes no itching. The red rash is patchy over the area described. The flaking has come down, the hair growht has improved, but not the rash. She is a beautiful Weimaraner and I am very sad that the Vet and I have been unable to help her recover.

Is it possible to get folliculitis from a tattoo?

I got a tattoo last Tuesday of a detailed blue rose to the left of my buttcrack to be blunt. On Friday, 3 days, later, the tattoo and well around the surrounding area started forming painful red blistering bumps. I went to the doctor on Monday and he said it is folliculitis. I've done some research on this and it seems to form from ingrown hairs. I've never had this before. I didn't get shaved prior to the tattoo. To me this just doesn't seem to be the correct diagnosis. I was given an antibiotic, which is probably what I need regardless. I did use A&D and feel more than likely it was an allergic reaction to the A&D instead of follliculitis and lots of other people online have had a similar breakout from A&D. I broke out way beyond where I applied any ointment as well. I of course was very detailed with my doctor and told him everything to get a proper diagnosis. Does anyone know if folliculitis is possible to get from a tattoo or do you feel I was misdiagnosed?

so i broke my hand the other day skateboarding... i let i tbe over night cuz i thought it was just sprained... ive never broken a bone before either so wasnt the first thing to come into my mind... now my friends got me to go to the hospital to get it checked out (the rreal reason was so i could fake a script of drugs)... come to find out ive broken my first bone!!!!! right behind my thumb... i have a half cast now and i go for my full cast tom... they say i shouldnt use my hand for 3 months which basically ruins my summer as im a beginner biker trying to land 360's barspins, grinds, all types of ****... i won a skate competition on saturday with ym hand being broke but id like to know for how long should i really not use my hand for... i mean could i rip the cast off next weekend or tghe week after cuz i really need to get back on my bike and skateboard.... im dying and its been only a few days!!!!! i feel like im being held captive in someones basement with no fresh air!!!! hellllp

Is pink skin better than red?

If the area around an infected burn is now pink, does that mean it's clearing up? I put ointment and a band-aid on it for the last 3 days and the infected area has gotten a bit smaller and the redness has turned pink. Is this a good sign?

Unexplained bleeding from bowel?

Kind of gross I'm sorry but I'm running out of ideas. Since I had my baby nearly 3 years ago I have been suffering on and off from bleeding from the bowel. It comes and goes (always seems to go when I get to the specialists office :\) and nobody has been able to give me a reason for it. I used haemmorrhoid ointments for nearly two years with no success and have had a colonoscopy performed with clear results. I might get a couple of episodes in close proximity then it could be weeks to months before it happens again. Has happened at least a dozen times or more It is bright red, there is alot of it, as much as you'd see with a heavy period, only bleeds when I use my bowel and doesn't hurt. I have also suffered pain in the right of my abdomen for the same length of time along with a funny popping feeling in the same area this isn't always happening in conjunction with the bleeding but usually is around the same time. Have run out of ideas and wonder if anybody here has anything useful to add that perhaps I or my doctors haven't considered? Much appreciated

Okay so a few nights ago I started experiencing pain when trying to have sex with my partner. I thought it may had been caused because my vagina was just sore. The next morning the pain was a bit worse & it was itchy as well. I believe it was either that night or the next day I had experienced flu symptoms. Talked to my mom said it was probably a yeast infection & maybe I had caught what my dad had had a few days ago but scheduled me an appointment anyways. The next day (my appointment) I discovored white bumps they didn't hurt my vagina however did just because it was raw & itchy. They doctor took a look & I did indeed have a yeast infection. He said that the bumps could be herpes but did not look exactly like herpes (waiting for the results) I was obviously extremely scared. This is the first time I have ever in my life had any sort of problems down there. I have been with my boyfriend for 5 months & we do NOT cheat on each other. My doctor gave me a pill for my yeast infection & Zovirax ointment for the bumps which is given for herpes. It took literally two days for all of this to disappear afterwards except for one little thing, I have this light brownish watery discharge with no smell it was much much worse before but it's almost completely gone. I've heard that it is possible to get bumps with sever yeast infections but I really would just like your opinion. Please don't be rude.

My hermit crab really needs to change shells but refuses too. Can someone help me?? :S?

I got my hermit crab a year and a half ago at a local pet store and continue to get them from there because they seem to be in good health. When i got my hermit crab (Howie<3) , the petstore employees said that he would/should change shells pretty soon. That was a year and a half ago and he never changed. I'm beginning to get worried. He has been very lethargic for the last couple months and really needs to molt too. I have placed him in the perfect conditions to molt and he still wont dig down to do it. But my main focus is the shell changes. Two of my newest hermit crabs (Eve and Valentino) have been changing shells alot (everytime i try to bring a new shell home for Howie). I have 7 shells in the tank he can choose from ranging in all different sizes. Are there any hermit crab experts out there that can help me? Im thinking that Howie will be happier and less lethargic if he got/had a better fitting shell. All help is greatly appreciatied. Im striking out figuring out something else i can try. I need help getting rid of some stubborn warts that won't go away. I've tried EVERYTHING. Please help...?

I have tried almost everything to get rid of the warts I have. I've used salicylic acid pads, liquids, and ointments; liquid nitrogen; duct tape; and I've even been to the dermatologist. The only thing that seems to have even remotely helped is the really aggressive medicine the dermatologist used, but unfortunately my warts are still here (and more have decided to pop up...) and I won't be able to go back to the doctor's until September. ER said hairline fracture, orthopedic doctor said bone wrinkle?

My 5 year old slipped in the mud and hurt his arm. Four hours later he's crying it hurts too bad to sleep. I took him to the ER and the doctor there did xrays and brought them in and showed us a small crack that was only visible in one the angles. She referred us to an orthopedic specialist for a cast and they went ahead and splinted it up for him. I made the appointment with the orthopedics and he came in room removed splint, pushed on my sons forearm all the while he's telling him ouch, that hurts and informs me the ER wasted my time he doesn't need a cast that sometimes they mistake bone wrinkles for cracks and i should just throw away all the splinting material. here it is night time again and my little boy is again complaining of the pain. Should I look into a second opinion? and what is a bone wrinkle? I've tried looking it up but all i find is facial issues.

The casting on individually can be done two ways, one is to knit them on,and the other is to twist the yarn and slide it on to the needle, and then knit on those loops. it is pretty simple actually.

When should I cover my new tattoo? And why is it already scabbing after 5 hours?

I just got a tattoo today.. two birds, one on each shoulder blade. I got them done literally about 5 hours ago and they're already scabbing! I had the saran wrap from the shop on, and then I took it off when I got home and washed it and put the ointment stuff the shop gave me on. It's been about 3 hours since I washed and moisturized it, and it already as scabs. I'm wondering if I should wash it again and apply the stuff, to help get rid of the scab naturally, even though it's only been three hours. My other question is this- should I put saran wrap on it under my shirt for bed? Will that help it not to stick to my clothes? And will it protect it in the night? Then I was also wondering tomorrow, when I go back to work, should I put saran wrap on it when it's under my jersey like fabric shirt and it's not exposed, but it might stick to my shirt? Oh, and another thing, the shop gave me two little packets of the ointment, and that's all. I read somewhere else that now that it's open I shouldn't use it again.. but they are all I have! You should definitely get a professional opinion from, at least, the tattoo artist you got the tattoo artist you went to, to me it sounds like the artist either used way too much ink or the ink isn't taking. I've never heard of using preperation h on a tattoo, I was always told to use a+d ointment.

What do I need to do to get rid of razor bumps?

I recently just started shaving my face. I guess I've hit puberty or something. Anyway, I've tried numerous creams, ointments, and other things to prevent these nasty looking bumps but it seems to not be working at all. Bearded Dragon Eye Problem, HELP!?

The past few weeks here i noticed a problem with my bearded dragons left eye. On the top of each lid, there is a black line which looks like eye liner. There also seems to be a goo Lens that forms from lid to lid. If i don't wipe it away, the goo will get hard and crusty on the outside of the eye as it starts to drip. He won't open the eye as much in his enclosure but, when i take him out he will open it and that is when i can see the black lines and goo Lens. The eye is perfectly functional and he will normally use it. I have been using Neomycln and Polymyxin B Sulfates and Dexamethasone Ophthalmic Ointment on the eye and it has done nothing. Does anyone have a clue whats going on? Also, the problem isn't getting worse but it isn't getting better.

Yes you have a low grade infection caused by stupid people not washing their hands and touching things they aren't supposed to. Don't touch it yourself unless you've washed or used a hand sanitizer. You can clear that up quick enough with washing, drying and applying band-aid wash or bactine. They both contain benzalkonium chloride (benz-all) which is one of the best and fastest acting anti-infection products that you can buy over the counter.

Can too much steroids make a rash worse?

I had a rash come back on my butt and was given prednisone to make it go away. I also had left over fluocinonide that my dermatologist gave me before. So i used both of them at the same time. been using both for 3 days now. But today it started to get worse. Like i was fine in the morning then about mid afternoon i put the ointment on and now it hurts. is it because there are too much steroid in one place on my body? Doctor only told me to take the prednisone never said anything about continuing the ointment. I just thought it would speed it up. If i stop the ointment how long until it will go away? Will i feel better over night if my last dose of it was 2:20pm CT?
